Both large and small industries today still utilize carts for their daily logistic operations. And now it is possible to increase productivity by allowing workers to stay at their workstations and on task with the MiR Hook. MiR robots can be called to retrieve carts and tow them to their destination. This helps keep workers on more value-added tasks.
About the MiR Hook
Above all, the MiR Hook is the perfect solution for automating the towing of carts. It is available for three different models. The largest of which is the MiR250 with a towing capacity of up to 1100 lbs.
What About Your Current Carts?
Deploying a MiR Hook robot in your facility does not mean investing in new or proprietary carts. With little modification needed, the MiR Hook could utilize the carts that are already deployed. In order to work with the MiR Hook, the cart only needs a place to mount the QR/April code and a bar in which to grab the cart.
In addition, many different sizes of carts could be utilized in one facility. The MiR scans a code to determine the size of the cart and uses that information to plan a safe and accurate route to its destination.
How Does it Work?
First, the MiR is called and reports to a specified cart. After that, it scans the cart’s QR or April tag, and uses that information to determine the size of the cart. Finally, The MiR grabs the cart and autonomously transports it to wherever the mission defines.
Moreover, the MiR software is easy to use and can be accessed from any phone, tablet, or computer. In conclusion, this makes the MiR very flexible as robot missions and paths can be changed very easily.
