Until recently, the transport of goods from one conveyor to another almost always required a forklift, fork truck, or transport by hand. Now there’s a better way. By having a MiR robot handle conveyor transportation, you can improve safety and increase productivity. In addition, it lowers the risk of product loss due to human error.

Conveyor Top Module on MiR
Using a conveyor top module on a MiR robot may be the best way yet to bridge the literal gap between conveyors.
Conveyor options include…
- gravity or automatic rollers
- automatic height adjust
These options make conveyor transport very easy, agile and flexible.
Conveyor Transport
This video shows how a MiR with a conveyor top module handles the autonomous transport of items with ease. First, the MiR robot docks to the station when called. Then, the robot tells the stationary conveyor that it has docked, and the robot and stationary conveyor work together to load/unload the items. Finally, the robot leaves for it’s destination.
The MiR100 in this video is the smallest MiR model and has a payload capacity of 200 lbs. However, conveyor top modules can be equipped to all models. For instance, the largest MiR, the MiR1350, has a payload capacity of nearly 3000 lbs.
In conclusion, the MiR equipped with a conveyor top module can be used for a wide variety of use cases.
